We'd like to give a huge shout out to the Port Ludlow Voice for featuring the Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation and our upcoming events in their June issue!
The Mission of the Port Ludlow Voice is to inform its readers of events and activities within the Village, and in close proximity to the Village. It is published monthly by an all-volunteer staff, and they print news articles that directly affect their residents.
Once again, we're grateful to have the Tom Taylor Family YMCA as the start and finish location for the Fifth Annual Race For A Soldier Half Marathon. Race participants are welcome to access the facility at no cost after the race.
New this year, however, is that child care will be included with this year's race if you register by September 20th.
July 4th is here and I thought it would be a good time to extend my gratitude to all of you for helping our cause over the years. My wishes go out to all of you for a blessed weekend as we celebrate our liberty and this country we call the United States of America.
The Tacoma Old Town Rhythm and Blues Festival is an amazing day of music and celebration in beautiful Old Town Tacoma. Each year the organization chooses a charity to support with the funds raised, and this year they have once again chosen the Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation! It's a wonderful event, and we couldn't be more thrilled and honored to receive their support!
Race For A Soldier and the Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation represented well at the 2015 Maritime Gig Parade on June 6th. We are so grateful to Race For A Soldier and Swing For A Soldier sponsor Harnish Family Subaru who donated the Big and Bad Chevy as we handed out 2,000 American flags to enthusiastic recipients; we could easily have used twice as many!
